Workshop Feedback
"Thank you for hosting the HDCAM SR tech seminar. I've come to depend on Fletcher to introduce what will be significant trends in HD production. Ongoing programs like this, bringing users together for training and feedback, shows Fletcher's leadership in the production industry."
- Jim Keen, DIT
As with the many other seminars you have sponsored, I found the Sony SRW-1 one to be informative. In addition to providing an introduction to this Sony VCR, I walked away understanding the basic framework of it's operation and acquired a working knowledge of how best to present this tool to those expressing a desire for use in future production.
It was 'frosting on the cake' to experience this workshop with members of my peer group. The questions were excellent, leading to a 'free flow of information', with respect to the operation of the SRW-1.
The HDCAM SR footage screenings related to 4:4:4 vs. 4:2:2 provided a basis for making a decision as to what will best work for a given produciton.
- Jerry Skora - Local 600 DIT
"Thanks for yet another way that Fletcher Chicago support the production community. It was a valuable experience to have some "hands on time" with this new (HDCAM SR SRW-1) equipment. Sharing this workshop with other film and video proffesionals was a great way for us all to benefit."
- John Christianson - DIT
